And More

In addition to the activities already listed, we also propose:

Burns supper

End of January every year, the ESC honours the life and work of the Scottish poet Robert Burns. Guests enjoy a traditional Scottish 3-course menu including the famous McSweens’s haggis. Live musicians on stage for the ceilidh dancing together with the pipers provide musical interludes throughout the evening. A real treat!

 Annual barbecue

A golden opportunity to connect with old friends and meet with new people in the relaxed atmosphere of the garden of l’Escale. Good food, games for the kids and mellow jazz contribute in making this such a worthwhile experience. Our annual summer barbecue takes place on Sunday 4 June.

Picnics

The scenic outdoors of the “Orangerie” in Strasbourg are the perfect setting for our autumn family picnic.  You bring your own food and we provide for the entertainment and an awesome afternoon together.

and much more… like for instance

… Impro nights

Theatrical improvisation, impro, is a good opportunity for live practice of the English language, in a fun games format which can appeal to natives and fluent non-natives, even if they have no experience or ambition in theatre. You will be smoothly guided by Nikki to act in several role-playing exercises with an emphasis on spontaneity. Just be ready to let mental barrier down to tap into your creative side! The group (4 to 8 persons) meets in turn from 7-9 pm at the private homes of the participants. For directions and signing-up for our next two hours session, please contact events@esc-alsace.org.

For all our get-togethers, it is recommended to have a good command

of the English language.
