Walk near Schirmeck and visit to the Oberlin Museum, 9th October

This walk was first scheduled on 18th September but had to be cancelled due to bad weather.

800px-waldersbach_en_automneJean-Frédéric Oberlin, the well-known vicar, philanthropist, educationalist and traveller, spent 59 years of his life in his parsonage in the Steintal. The house, now a museum and renovated in 2002, shows his library and an interesting collection of pictures, objects, documents and furniture. “Papa Oberlin” as people called him is buried in the nearby village of Fouday.
The walk through meadows and woods will take about 3 hours (280m difference in altitude). Bring a picnic lunch.
